(BNP) - On the morning of September 8, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Taun worked with a delegation of Chinese enterprises led by Ms. Shilei, Chairman of Sumec Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd. to explore investment cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh province.

At the meeting, Ms. Shilei highly appreciated the potential of Bac Ninh province, especially the modern and synchronous industrial park infrastructure, attracting many large enterprises in the fields of electronics, high technology and energy from different countries.
She said that Sumec Group is owned by the Chinese Government with main business lines including: Electrical equipment, generator equipment, electronics, garment, import and export of equipment, commodity trading... By the end of 2024, the Group had 13 secondary subsidiaries, 37 industrial plants owned by the Group in more than 160 countries and regions, with more than 16,000 specialized employees; revenue of about USD 200 billion. Currently, the Group is implementing a green energy generator project in Vietnam.

Ms. Shilei hoped that investment cooperation in Bac Ninh would be an important stepping stone for the successful development of the high-tech and green energy industry chain in Bac Ninh province.

For his part, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan thanked the enterprises for their interest in researching the investment environment in Bac Ninh province. At the same time, he affirmed that Bac Ninh provincial leaders pledged to create all favorable conditions for Chinese investors to explore investment cooperation in Bac Ninh.

On the other hand, the Chairman also hoped that Chinese enterprises would actively research and implement projects under the joint venture model with Vietnamese enterprises in Bac Ninh.
It is known that up to now, Bac Ninh province has attracted about 3,290 FDI projects, with a total capital of about USD 45.4 billion from 44 countries and territories around the world. The whole province has about 1,455 investment projects of Chinese partners with a total investment capital of about USD 11 billion. Chinese FDI projects are mainly in the fields of electronic components manufacturing, precision mechanics, service industries and civil industry.
