On September 14, 2022, Party Cell 1 under the Party Committee of Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority held the 5th Party Congress - term 2022-2025.

On the afternoon of August 25, 2022, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority held a meeting to celebrate 24 years of establishment (August 25, 1998 - August 25, 2022).

Since establishment until now, after 24 years of construction, development and integration, closely following the guidelines and directions of the Central Government and the province, together with the cooperation of all levels, sectors and the business community, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority have been actualizing the aspiration to turn Bac Ninh into a modern industrial province, becoming one of the largest electrical-electronic industry production centers in the country. That aspiration has been proven by impressive numbers from concentrated industrial zones.

With the synchronous solutions to support the restoration of production and business in the province, in the first 6 months of the year, the index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 19.75% compared to the same period last year. This is the highest increase in the last 5 years (2018-2022) and is a prominent bright spot in the economic picture of Bac Ninh province in the first 6 months of 2022.

In 1998, Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority was established; In 2000, Tien Son Industrial Park - the first one of Bac Ninh province was started construction. After 24 years of construction and development, up to now, Bac Ninh has been approved by the Prime Minister with 16 industrial parks with a total area of more than 6,300 hectares and 24 infrastructure projects. Currently, 10 industrial zones have been put into operation; 1,760 domestic and foreign investment projects have been granted investment registration certificates with a total registered investment capital of more than 23 billion USD, of which nearly 1,200 projects are under operation. For many years, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones has always been in the top of the Management Boards in the country in terms of investment attraction results as well as the value created from the operation of industrial parks. Up to now, the industrial zones are growing stronger and stronger. The organizational structure of the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones has also fought matured and completed. The IZA always strives to successfully complete assigned political tasks, making an important contribution to the economic restructuring of the province in the direction of increasing the proportion of industry and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture, strives to become a city directly under the Central Government.

After nearly 17 years of implementing the Resolution 54-NQ/TW and 11 years of implementing the Conclusion 13-KL/TW of the Politburo, the whole region in general and the localities in particular have obtained many important achievements in the socio-economic fields, the political system, national defense and security have been consolidated and the international relations have been widened; the role as one of the two economic motivations of the whole country is promoted. Located in the economic region of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, associated with the Northern key economic region, Bac Ninh province develops well the potentials, strengths and flexibly applies the policies of the central and local governments, gradually rises to become an important growth pole of the Red River Delta region.

On August, 2022, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority, in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of Thuan Thanh District, held a Conference on removing difficulties and obstacles, accelerating the implementation of IP technical infrastructure investment and development projects in Thuan Thanh district.

Implementing Directive No. 34-CT/TW dated April 7, 2014 of the Politburo "On continuing to innovate emulation and commendation work", in recent years, the emulation movement and commendation work of the province has made many positive changes, with many innovations and creativity, creating positive effects in the implementation of political tasks of each agency, unit and locality, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of the objectives and targets for socio-economic development and consolidation of security and defense of the province.

In the first 6 months of 2022, Bac Ninh's economy continues to grow at a high rate. Gross domestic product in the province increased by 14.7%, ranking the second in the country and the first in the Red River Delta. Industrial production index increased by 19.8%, retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 36.4%, import and export turnover increased by 15% (accounting for 13.3% of total export turnover of Vietnam), state budget revenue reached 54.1% of the estimate... Flexible implementation of solutions suitable to local realities, Bac Ninh's economy overcame challenges and continued to shine.

On May 28, 2022, the Government issued the Decree No. 35/2022/ND-CP regulating the management of industrial zones and economic zones (Decree 35).

The Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has recently signed for issuing the Decree No. 34/2022/ND-CP on extending the deadline for payment of value added tax (VAT), corporate income tax (CIT), personal income tax (PIT) and land rent in 2022.

From the beginning of the year until now, in the concentrated industrial zones, 20 new projects have been put into operation, bringing the total number of operating enterprises up to now to 1,170 enterprises.

In 2022, the world situation is volatile due to political conflicts between countries, which have had a significant impact on rising input prices, shifting investment capital flows, local shortages of labor and "post-COVID". “… affects the production and business activities of the whole country, in which Bac Ninh is a province with a deeply integrated international economy that also suffers from many impacts. Overcoming everything, with many flexible and effective management solutions, in the first 6 months of the year, Bac Ninh's economy quickly recovered and grew spectacularly with an increase of 14.7%, becoming one of the top 5 cities and provinces in the country.

According to the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranking in 2021, Bac Ninh province ranks 7th out of 63 provinces and cities with 69.45 points, up 3 places and up 2.71 points compared to 2020, Bac Ninh was in the group of provinces with good quality.
