Flexible in direction, drastic in organization and implementation, with unprecedented innovations, Bac Ninh effectively controlled the epidemic, protected the people’s lives and health, maintained and developed the production and business, without disrupting the global production and supply chains, brought the economic growth beyond the plan, made an important contribution to the development of the country. The province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2021 increased by 6.9% compared to 2020, in which, two industrial production value indicators (reached VND 1.5 million billion) and export turnover (reached USD 45.2 billion) leading the whole country, with export surplus of USD 6.4 billion; GRDP scale ranks 8th; GRDP per capita ranked 4th; per capita income ranked 5th; State budget revenue reached over VND 33.05 trillion, exceeding 18.6% of the yearly estimate, ranked 8th nationwide.

Bac Ninh continued to be an attractive and reliable address for domestic and foreign investors, where focusing the large brands from 38 countries, regions and territories: Total newly registered investment capital of the domestic and foreign projects reached USD 2.2 billion (highest in the recent years); Total newly issued and adjusted foreign direct investment capital ranked fifth nationwide, including a breakthrough in attracting investment in semiconductor projects of Amkor Technology, Inc (Amkor), forming the electronics-semiconductor industrial cluster.

6. In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, promoted the solidarity and strength throughout the political system, “Leaving no one behind”, ensured the health of the People. Bac Ninh Health Sector sent 5 working delegations to support the provinces and cities.
