The economy grew quite well, exceeding the set plan, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 7.39% compared to 2021; industrial production index increased by 9.5%; retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 28%; credit balance increased by 14%; rice yield increased by 0.3 quintals/ha; new rural construction is enhanced and OCOP products are promoted. Bac Ninh was honored to welcome General Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong to visit and work with the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province. Successfully organizing many important political events such as the celebration of "190 years of establishment and 25 years of re-establishment of Bac Ninh province and receiving the first-class Labor Medal"; 110 years of birth of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu; Cultural Conference of Bac Ninh Province; hosting 4 sports at SEA Games 31.

Infrastructure and urban development are focused on; major projects, key works and projects under the Socio-economic Development and Rehabilitation Program (Ring Road 4 - Capital Region; Expanded Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital; Road DT 295C, Road DT 277...) are promoted. Focus on improving the business investment environment, encreasing the efficiency of administrative reform; Provincial competitiveness index in 2021 ranks 7th nationwide, up 3 places; Satisfaction index of people and organizations towards the service of State administrative agencies ranked 7th, increased 2 places; The component index of administrative procedure reform in the Par Index rose to the first place in the country.

Spearhead education has had high achievement; many social security policies continue to be revised, with higher allowances than central regulations. Citizen reception is maintained in order and flexibility; regularly reviewing the backlog, complicated and prolonged cases, with a high focus on settlement of complaints and denunciations. Political security, social order and safety are maintained and stable.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations such as: a number of socio-economic indicators have not yet reached as set in the plan; the implementation of a number of projects and programs on socio-economic recovery and development is still behind the requirements, the disbursement of public investment capital is low; the shortage of preschool and primary school teachers has not been completely resolved; the handling of complaints, denunciations and recommendations, reflecting a number of cases that are still unsatisfactory in terms of settlement time...

On that basis, in 2023, the Provincial People's Committee will focus on effectively implementing the annual theme: “Strengthening the building of a strong Party and political system; Encreasing public service ethics; Focusing on infrastructure, urban and cultural development, meeting the requirements of sustainable development. In which, focus on attracting and strongly developing in-depth industry, high-tech industry; developing and attracting investors to trade centers, supermarkets, logistics services; strengthening solutions to promote agricultural and rural development; continuing to restructure the state budget, strengthen the state budget-financial discipline, managing revenue sources well, and effectively exploiting the budget revenues.

Improving the quality of planning, management of plannning; organizing the implementation of the provincial master plan for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Comprehensively developing socio-cultural fields, promoting values of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac culture and people; being interested in supporting and training workers, especially training high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of the 4.0 revolution and international integration; protecting, taking care for and improve people's health and population work in the new situation... Striving for: an increase of the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) by 6.5% - 7.0% compared to 2022; per capita income of 69.5 million dong; total import and export turnover reaching 93.2 billion USD; the urbanization rate reaching 45%; the rate of poor households by the end of 2023 will be 1%...
